Will you have access to my Stripe account?
We connect via Stripe Connect. By default this is read-only. For the retry functionality, we request limited write access to a single scope: creating a new payment attempt on a failed invoice — the same action Stripe's own Smart Retries takes internally. You see the exact scopes during the OAuth authorization screen before you click “Connect.” You can revoke access at any time directly from your Stripe Dashboard under Connected Applications. We never store your secret key.
How is this different from Stripe's built-in Smart Retries?
Smart Retries is free and genuinely useful — it uses card-network signals to pick better retry times. RecoverFlow adds three things Smart Retries doesn't: (1) a branded recovery email sent from your domain so your customer understands what happened and can update their card, (2) configurable cadences (Pro tier) so you can tune timing per business model, and (3) a dashboard that shows you exactly which customers were recovered, when, and how much revenue was saved. Think of it as Smart Retries plus a human-feeling recovery sequence.
What happens to my customers' data?
We process payment metadata — customer email address, invoice amount, and payment status — to run recovery workflows. Stripe never exposes card numbers to Connect apps, so we never see them. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. You can request a data export or deletion for any customer by emailing support@recoverflow.ai.
Can I cancel anytime?
